A Pie In The Face For Cancer Research
There isn’t much the team from Cancer in Kids @ RCH wouldn’t do to raise money for cancer research, even when the stakes are as high as a pie in the face.
What began two years ago as a throw away line from Jim Dawson, a long time committee member of CIKA, resulted in almost $350 raised for CIKA in a flurry of meringue and pastry.

Backyard Race With A Twist
This January saw the 7th annual BSX2012 race event take place in Pheasant Creek. Goldencross Cycles BSX, which is short for bicycle supercross, a variation of BMX racing, has been supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital for seven years and has raised in excess of $24,000.
The event involves two riders competing against each other in an elimination style outdoor race.
